Where’s Wambach? Where’s Wando?

It’s super cool that the women’s and men’s national teams are wearing the same uniforms. However, the numbers are really hard to see on the field, and I feel like I’m playing Where’s Waldo trying to pick out players…

This photo from SoccerPro.com's email newsletter leads me to believe that the men's and women's national team uniforms will be the same. I feel that this is a step up from the weirdness/blandness of the 2011 Women's World Cup jersey. But I'm still am not a fan of the white sleeves on the navy shirt. And the watermark sash on the hoops is just not necessary.

Good grief! I had heard rumblings of news from the Becks camp yesterday, but never got a chance to really follow up on it. So I try googling David Beckham today to see what the final verdict was. Well, it seems he’s modeling underwear. As lovely an idea as that might be for many people, it took me to the second page of my google search to discover anything about his actual career (guess what, he plays soccer!). Turns out he DID turn down the French club in favor of staying in LA, however there’s no definitive news about a new contract with the Galaxy.

Thoughtful David Beckham
